What does chauvinist mean?

Someone who thinks there race, religion, gender, or anything else you can think of, is better than the rest. Usually used in sexist ways, like when women ask, "why are all guys chauvinsts?" The Word comes from the name of one of Napoleon's generals who was exuberantly dedicated to the emperor's schemes. Now-a-days it is rarely used out-side of its prejudicial sexual connotation.
