The department of enviromental protection ( EPA ) Is charged with the administration of controlling the safe handling of all refrigerant compounds as to save the stratosphere from said chemicals as they destroy the protective ozone layer which surrounds the earth . It protects us from hazardous sun rays that have been proven to accelerate skin cancer and a host of other hazards.We technicians all must be certified in the safe handling of all refrigerants .
