King Christian X was the king of Denmark from 1912 till 1947. He stayed in Denmark and co-operated with the Nazi occupiers as he thought this was best for his people. -Interestingly, his brother Haakon VII, King of Norway, escaped to Britain as HE would not co-operate with the Nazi invaders under any circumstances.
