Do you need permits for a lemonade stand?

Theoretically if you place your stand on land that is owned by the town, city or state, you need a permit.

The laws and by-laws are different in every city, state and country, and you will need to speak to City Hall if you want to secure a pass.

However, Police often turn the other cheek with these businesses, especially if they are run by minors.

Another thing to remember - If you place your stand on property that is privately owned, you do not need a permit, but you do need permission from the owner of the land.

If you do it on your own private land, you do not need a permit.
