it is a diet in which- instead of a low carb diet, you would limit the amount of calories you intake
if you are a woman and you want to go on a restricted calorie diet, but are not over weight aim for a 1500 calorie-a-day diet, if you are overwieght or obesse start out with a 2000 calorie a day diet.
dont forget to watch your serving sizes, check the nutrition facts for everything, and the 'calories from fat' are NOT the calories and basically do not matter.
and for excersize do cardio to start out and then add weights after a couple of weeks
if you are a man
probably a 2000 calorie diet is best because males have 1/2 the amount of fat cells as women, and if you are overwieght start with cardio and weights and add to the intesity of your workout as your diet progresses
try to eat alot of lean 'white meats' for your meals.
here is a good day of eating:
b-fest: 1/2 cup of yogurt with 1/4 cup of whole wheat grained cereal on top
snack: Apple
lunch: spinach salad with (small amount) of oil, vinegar, sprouts, almond slices, and grilled chicken
snack: 1/4 cup of almonds
dinner: grilled or steamed veggies, and low sodium chicken noodle soup, or a chicken breast, steamed veggies, and 1/4 cup of whole wheat pasta
