Did Romeo and Juliets marriage unite the two families?

Yes and No. You see, the two families didn't know they were married until after they were both dead. Personally, I think that the death is what brought them together (not necessarily the marriage). If by marriage, you mean love between Romeo and Juliet, then yes the love united the families.
