The Bill of Rights is the name given to the first ten amendments of the Constitution of the United States. They guarantee specific rights, such as freedom of religion, speech, the press and assembly. It also guarantees the right to keep and bear arms, protection from unreasonable search and seizure, and protection from cruel and unusual punishment. Additionally it guarantees a public and speedy trial, protection from double jeopardy, and freedom from illegal warrants.
