Describe the probable effects on an ecosystem if all the plants were to die?

then i belive the circle of life would be ruined. that term wouldn't even exist anymore and if you include trees in the plant category, we wouldn't be here either. we need oxygen, which plants provide for us. without them, we're technically nothing.
