How do you tell the gender of your bearded dragon?

To sex your Bearded Dragon, you can lie it in your hand on its back [make sure you support it] and gently pull back its tail. If there are two lumps above the legs then it's a boy. Also, a female will not grow as large as a male, and females have more pointy and narrower heads than males. Of course, you can't tell the sex for certain until they are a few months old or so, but I hope this helped Added: Please please do not put your dragon on its back. They cannot breathe this way! You can do the above by placing it on the palm of your hand with his tail facing you. Place your thumb on his back and GENTLY lift the tail up. An adult male with have 2 oblong bumps on the base of the underside of the tail. A female will have a single bump at the center. If you dragon is still a juvie it may look like a female so you will need to wait until it is at least 8-9 months old. An adult male will also have large femoral pores which is a row of bumps on the underside of his thigh. An adult female may have the same but they are much smaller, pinpoint-like.
