The initials MSRC are used by several organizations.
In the UK, MSRC may be the Multiple Sclerosis Research Centre is a registered charity, which has several affiliated groups.
In the US, there is a Multicultural Suicide Research Center which is an academic research team at Palo Alto University. At the University of Pittsburgh, there is a research team called the Musculo-Skeletal Research Center.
The initialism is also applied to the Microsoft Security Response Center, which is a department within Microsoft. In addition, there is an informal team of computer security researchers who, alternately, critique and satirize Microsoft's approach to security. Their activities commenced with their name, "Microsoft-Spurned Researcher Collective", a co-opting of Microsoft's MSRC initialism.
Then, we also have the Marine Spill Response Corporation, a privately-held corporation founded in 1990, which provides planning, testing and contingency analysis services as well as shoreline protection and cleanup services, primarily to clients in the offshore oil industry. This is the only one that seems to qualify as a "real company", meaning a for-profit corporation.
There is also, in the US, the slightly mysterious Media Security and Reliability Council, which is a committee or consortium that is offering consultation to the FCC on disaster planning. This seems to be related to FCC projects motivated by the Department of Homeland Security.
