1999 ford ranger 3.0 ltr V code flex fuel motor that you are trying to instale a cam shaft sensor How do you do this when there is no timing marks on the ballancer?

I HAVE A 99 RANGER WITH THE 3.0 ENGINE AND WENT THROUGH ALL THIS WHEN THE GEARS ON MY SYNCHRONIZER STRIPPED OUT.ANYWAY I HAD TO USED A FIND PEACE OF SAND PAPER AND SAND THE RUST OFF THE BALLANCER TILL I SEEN THE MARKS. HOPE THIS HELPS

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY http://www.pointaengineering.com/main.sc Because they are a fraudulent company! The sensor they provide does absolutly nothing. I tried it and nothing changed in the way my vehicle ran.
