Note, a metaphore is different to a Simile

Metaphore Examples:

~ Her tears ran rivers down her face <-- This is a metaphore because you don't actually have rivers on your face

~ The tall grass was a jungle <-- This is a metaphore because grass alone isn't what makes up a jungle

~ In smiling, she was the sun <-- This is a metaphore because smiling doesn't make you the sun
