Where is the air filter on a 2003 landrover freelander?

it's in the plastic engine cover, you'll need to remove a couple of bolts to get it out.

The pollen filter is in the ceiling of the foot well on the passenger side. It is held in place by 4 screws which have 6mm hex heads. Remove the four screws and the filter can be pulled down and to the center of the car. The cover is part of the filter so you will have a new cover with the replacement filter.
