The disadvantages of a motorcycle are limited passenger space, limited luggage capacity, much greater threat of injury from collisions and mechanical failure, lack of visibility to other motorists, exposure to elements, limited driving season in some climates, ease of theft, lack of stereo or communication while riding, and the requirements of personal safety equipment. The advantages are gas mileage, ease of repair, parking, sex appeal, gas mileage again, maneuverability, speed, gas mileage (in case you missed it), intimacy of passenger, vehicle cost, maintenance cost, lower frequency of being pulled over by police, and even more gas mileage.
