J. Howard McGrath (born November 28, 1903 in Woonsocket, Rhode Island; died September 2, 1966 in Narragansett, Rhode Island) succeeded William Henry Vanderbilt as the sixtieth Governor of Rhode Island, serving between January 7, 1941 and October 6, 1945, including the whole of 1943.
