There remain in the Western Hemisphere, Native Americans that for the most part have been left out of the mainstream societies of the Western Hemisphere.

Many Native Americans live on government reservations in both Canada & the USA.

Relatively few of these Tribes people have attained the socioeconomic status of other peoples who emigrated to the countries of the Americas.

One bright light are the new businesses some Tribal peoples have started. The best example of this are Native American Gambling resorts. These are scattered among the various parts of the USA and in other countries.

In the Spanish & Portuguese lands, many of the Native Americans have become part of their societies via intermarriage with peoples who have the Spanish heritage from the days of Spain's colonization of Mexico and South America & the islands of the Caribbean sea.
