The tangerine is a citrus fruit. It is reddish orange and very sweet. It is a small fruit commonly grown in Florida and California. It is easy to peel and sections very smoothly. Because of it's small size and lower moisture content, the tangerine usually is not commercially used as juice. The color tangerine is commonly used as a synonym for dark orange. It is popular as a summer color in clothing. Other like colors are coral and light cinnamon.
