Is turkey as in lunch meats bad for dogs?

Turkey is an Excellent source of protein and often a viable alternative for dogs who are allergic or sensitive to other sources like beef, chicken, lamb etc. where that "danger factor" comes in is when dogs who usually do not get anything but dry kibble are overfed with turkey skin during the holidays. the skin is very fatty and can cause pancreatitis.

So....the meat is fine but no skin.
