What are the special symbols or outwrd signs of the sacrement of communion?

The special symbols when partaking of the sacrament are the water or wine, being symbolic of the blood of our Lord shed at Gethsemany and on the cross. The other is the bread or wafer eaten to symbolize the body of our Lord beaten and bruised prior to His being hung upon the cross.
