Here is what The Bible says:
1 Peter 3:18: "For Christ also suffered once for sins, the righteous for the unrighteous, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh - - but made alive in the spirit." (Please notice the last 3 Words.)
As far as we know, yes, He went to heaven bodily, in the flesh. Scripture says He was standing with his followers and had been talking to them - bodily - when He was taken up. There is no mention of any transformation which occurred in the sight of the disciples. Acts 1:11: Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.
If He was taken up bodily, because of the 'in like manner' clause, it is fair to presume He will return bodily, descending out of heaven. The Revelation supports this view (Revelation 19:11-16).
