According to the book Silver Screens by Larry Widen and Judi Anderson it was the Saxe Bros. in Milwaukee WI. They were local toughs born in Ireland that worked their way up from selling newspapers on the street corner to owning 40 theaters in the early 1900's. They established White Tower outlets next door to their theaters. The Rhode Theater in Kenosha Wisconsin, which fell throught historical cracks when Saxe Bros abandoned it during construction, has an shop attached which is now an art gallery but could have been designed for burger sales.
