Penguins primarily hunt for fish, squid, and krill, using their streamlined bodies and powerful flippers to swim swiftly underwater. They catch their prey by diving and using their beaks to snatch it, often employing a technique of diving deep and then swimming back to the surface. Some species, like the Emperor penguin, may also use collaborative hunting strategies to corner schools of fish. Penguins do not kill their food in the traditional sense, as they consume it directly after catching it.
