Where are the spark plugs located on a 2002 Ford Explorer?

It doesn't have them. The have eight coils that sit on top the valve covers. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ANSWER The spark plugs are installed on each side of the engine , just look for the spark plug wires. If it is a 4.0 L OHV or 4.0 L SOHC V6 engine, the spark plug firing order is 1-4-2-5-3-6 . The spark plugs/engine cylinders are numbered 1, 2, + 3 on the passenger side of the engine front to back, and 4, 5, + 6 on the driver's side of the engine front to back. (Helpfull)
