Has anyone ever had sore swollen feet after thigh and knee lipo?

== == Hi, I am currently experiencing a significant amount of swelling in my lower legs, ankles, and especially feet. I went to a medical spa and had a lymphatic massage which seemed to temporarily alleviate some of the swelling. However, within a few hours the swelling was back. I was sleeping with my legs elevated, but I would wake with severly swollen eyes. History: I am 10 days post-op and the swelling seems to be getting worse. This was my second lipo (first was 10yrs ago). The first lipo was lower ab and outer thighs. I had severe pain and slow recovery, but minimal swelling w/that surgery. This time I had upper and lower ab, flanks, and inner thighs. My pain was minimal and I was up the same day, but after one week there was a sudden onset of swelling. I contacted my surgeon and I was advised that due to the volume of lipo that was removed, 5 liters, swelling is fairly common and there was less likeliness of swelling w/the first lipo as less than one liter was removed. His advice was to stay in bed for a day or two and drink plenty of fluids. He proceeded to say that I may be over doing it for having large volume lipo. Hope this helps.
