How does a stingray attack?

First off you gotta know, "why they attack?" to know how to answer the question properly.

Now, the stingray usually is at the bottom of the ocean hiding in the sand. When someone steps on them the flip there tail back to get you to get off them.

For example, when someone steps on your hand in order to get them off you could hit them with your elbow humans don't usually do this though but still, that is how they usually attack
