The Walleye's natural enemies are bigger fish and birds. It camouflages itself by its color blending in with the things in the water. They camouflage itself, so it can eat its food. It can also use camouflage, so it will not get eaten by bigger fish and birds.

Another adaptation of the walleye are it's big eyes (hence it's name) that allow it feed in low light conditions. Walleyes are very active from Dusk until Dawn.
