Constructive imagination is a concept taken from psychology. It is based on the fact that the mind can accept as real any concept, true or false, repeated enough and with a strong enough impact.
For example, if you say yourself the same lie for one month and you say it with emotion, you will consider it a truth.
A good example of the CI are dreams. Dreams are acting as a "director" to help you adapt to a disruptive reality or circumstance, to help you better accept what is happening around you without pushing your anxiety levels to the roof.
