Does public radio earn money

Public Radio neither "earns" money nor "makes" money. They are non-profit. When they mention a corporation they are acknowledging a contribution. You do not hear commercials. There is no request to call the ABC Carriage company and try out their latest beer wagon that halls 48 barrels to 21 saloons for just 1 1/2 bails of hay.

Their income derives from contributions from the government, foundations, companies, and their listeners.
