First black running back at the Alabama crimson tide?

The first Black running back for the Alabama Crimson Tide was John Mitchell, who played for the team from 1972 to 1975. His presence on the team was significant during a time of racial integration in College Sports. Mitchell went on to have a successful career in the NFL and later became a coach, contributing to the sport beyond his playing days.
