2004 BMW 745 has an issue with navigation system which says initializing and never starts working help?

I have the same issue and I'm trying to figure how to resolve it. It keeps saying initializing but the navigation never comes on. Tried to take the CD out of the trunk to clean it but the CD doesn't come out. Anyone has any idea how to fix this issue?
