What type of shoes do a correctional officer wear to the academy?

It depends on the State and the Academy's Policies that you plan on attending. In our state we were and are required to wear tennis shoes. The reason being is that we ran everywhere. from the classroom to the chow hall to the track, on the track etc. Check with your recruiter who should be sending you a pamphlet before you start the Academy. The pamphlet with break down exactly what attire you are required to wear while being at the Academy. Good Luck.
