Hermes is what god?

I dont know what he is god of but, i know that he is a messenger for the gods. Zues sends him to deliver messages to anyone of importance. If you think of him dont think of him from the movie "herculeus" because he is one of the top 9 gods and is same size as Zues or Posiedon although he doesnt have as much power or control.
