Is going to Prom alone bad?

It isn't as bad as some say, but if you aren't going for social reasons then why else would you bother.

Prom is a celebratory event meant to socialize with friends/boyfriends etc...

It is not BAD to go without a date. Sure, people will ask you "where is your date" etc... but it doesn't mean you're not allowed to be there. If you are a shy person who is easily embarrassed, I recommend you stay home, because people are going to wonder. But if you just want to hang out and play it cool, then go and have fun... Just don't let people catch you alone, so stay with friends...

When dancing time comes, go to the washroom. It's not very pleasant watching your friends having fun with a guy while you re standing there like a totem pole watching over them.
