What is better the Galaxy S5 or the iPhone 5s?

Whether an 'Android' or 'iOS' phone is better is a matter of opinion and personal tastes.

I would personally say that the iphone is better, mostly because the Android is very large and is hard to carry around, although some would say that the Android is small. The Android is actually very unsafe and has many downsides if you are looking for any information that needs to be protected. iphones are also incredibly easy to use and Androids are a little more complicated.

Although the Android has some downsides there are some good reasons to get an Android. One is that you can customize your home screen, like you can add live widgets that give constant feedback on Facebook or other social media. The cameras on Androids have much more power than an iphone and you can play HD video on your TV.

So there are some reasons why each of them are good but please pick the iphone. It is so much simpler and easier.
