What causes of valcanos?

Volcanoes are primarily caused by the movement of tectonic plates beneath the Earth's surface. When these plates collide, separate, or slide past one another, magma from the mantle can rise to the surface, leading to volcanic eruptions. Additional factors include hotspots, where magma plumes from deep within the Earth create volcanic activity independent of plate boundaries. The release of pressure in these areas allows gases and molten rock to escape, resulting in volcanic formations.
