Can a 14-year-old female have a relationship with a 17-year-old male without her parents' consent in the state of New York?

In New York, the age of consent is 17. You should be fine, until the older male turns 18. Although the male would not be charged with rape because the age difference is less than 4 years, I don't know about other laws.
