You try to pull back on your horse but she wont stop?

If you ever find yourself on a runway horse there are a few things you can try. 1) See saw the reins. Pull on the right then pull on the left. This might make the horse stop 2) Open your hands wide. It's a quick way to get contact with the horses mouth and still remain seated properly. If you pull back on the reins you will find yourself leaning back in the saddle and you might fall. 3) Pull on one side and cause the horse to turn into a circle which will slow them down. Most of all, stay calm. If the horse picks up on your fear or anxiety they will feel that they really do have a reason to be running away. If you take deep breaths and force yourself to remain calm, the horse might calm down as well.
