How do you adjust the front brakes on a 1988 Suzuki Quadrunner 300?

if you look on the front rims there should be wats looks like a rubber plug pull it out and take a flashlight and look in the hole and u should see a little cylinder and it will have what looks like gears on each end take a flat screw driver and turn it and there u go
