Where is the transmission dipstick located on a 1988 Honda Accord manual 5-speed?

Manual transmissions do not have a dipstick. There is a fill plug on the passenger side of the transaxle just above and behind where the axle goes into the transmission. Remove the plug. If fluid runs outor you stick your finger in the hole and feel fluid just below the bottom edge of the hole then it is full. If it is low add 30 weight motor oil or 90 weight gear oil till it runs out of thr hole then replace the plug.
