You don't really have a choice about being a homosexually oriented person. Normally, it's a good idea to "come out", but if there's a chance your parents could throw you out or abuse you (that includes "reparative therapy" or other "cures") it's better to keep it a secret from them until you're an adult.
Resources include centers for gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender (GLBT) youth and your local chapter of PFLAG (Parents and Friends of Lesbians and Gays). Don't try to deal with your parents yourself, and above all remember -- it's your parents who are wrong, not you!
