How many people helped making the Hollywood sign?

The Hollywood sign was created in 1923 by a group of workers, primarily consisting of a construction crew and artists. While the exact number of individuals involved isn't well-documented, it is estimated that around a dozen workers were directly engaged in the construction of the sign. The project was commissioned by the real estate developer H.J. Whitley to promote his new housing development, "Hollywoodland."
