All information of Private Barnes' assault will remain with the HCP SARC and VA with the exception of the following?

All information regarding Private Barnes' assault will be kept confidential by the HCP SARC and VA, except for instances where there is a legal obligation to report, such as threats to the safety of the individual or others, or if there are mandatory reporting requirements due to the nature of the incident. Additionally, information may be disclosed if consent is given by Private Barnes or if it is necessary for legal proceedings. In all other cases, privacy and confidentiality will be upheld.
