There are so many dating services on the internet that is enough to boggle anyone's mind and also it can be dangerous as some people on the Internet do not tell the truth about themselves and one never knows what that person is like. The good old fashion way is the best way to go. Join clubs; put the Word out to your girlfriends because they may know of someone who is single (divorced or widowed.) Church groups are popular or going to 50 plus clubs to have a few drinks and mix, but bring a girlfriend along with you to be on the safe side. If you are lucky enough to meet a man take your time getting to know him and meet in public places and be independent and then introduce him to family and friends to get their take on him before getting too serious about him.
