If you have to ask this question, you really shouldn't be working with lacquer thinner, or any other solvent. LT is extremely toxic (and highly flammable), and our skin is one of the most efficient pathways for substances to get into the bloodstream. OF COURSE you should be wearing gloves. Be advised that LT, being the "atom bomb" of solvents, will almost immediately dissolve most disposable gloves (latex, etc). You will need, at a minimum, nitrile, and even those are often dissolved depending upon the particular chemical composition of the LT you're using (it varies by brand), so you may need to invest in a pair of laminated or heavy duty chemical gloves.
