What did Jonas Salk like to do in his free time?

Jonas Salk showed no sign of wanting to be a brainiac or even thinking of becoming a scientist or anything while being a child. But, as he grew up he started to show more interest in science. As a child his interests were reading and studying mostly. His parents wanted to watch him succeed so he tried to help his parents by becoming more alert and into things.
