What is a pocket warrant?

As it was explained to me, it means that the detective/police officer issuing the warrant is carrying it around with them and it is not entered into the system. In my situation it's a hassle because I don't have the detective's information... but have been told I have a warrant.

So, it's not in the system and therefore I have no recourse but to wait... which I'm trying to avoid since I don't particularly want police to show up at my job and totally disrupt my life over a monor charge.
