What is the difference between 'advice' and 'suggestion'?

Dictionary.com defines the two Words as follows:

advice: an opinion or recommendation offered as a guide to action, conduct, etc.: I shall act on your advice.

suggestion: to mention or introduce (an idea, proposition, plan, etc.) for consideration or possible action: The architect suggested that the building be restored.

If you take the two Words in context, to give advice means to offer resolution to a problem by way of action.

A suggestion, on the other hand, is the introduction of a new ideaology or framework.
