How did Egyptians count years?

There is no reason for these people to count backwards,this is a part of the lies that were spread to undermine the overwhelming influence they had on our history. I can't tell you the years or why it is the way it is but there seems to be a very good reason why it has been adopted with no reason why other than to mark the start of a mythical person !
