Why do zoos let the animals go back to their natural habitat?

Because some zoos don't keep the animals for entertainment. Some zoos are there for conservation efforts, which means that they take endangered animals out of the wild, to a saf place where they can breed. They then release the animals back into the wild in an attempt to allow their numbers to grow back into a healthy population.
