Why are snots green?

Some white blood cells containing green coloured enzymes are secreted in you mucus (or 'snot') to destroy the cold virus and any bacteria that wish to infect the mucus at the same time. The dead white blood cells along with the dead viruses are removed in the mucus, making it look green.
